5. AI processing

Your search queries are processed by AI language models (Anthropic Claude and DeepSeek) to generate research results. These providers process queries under their data processing agreements and do not use your queries to train their models. We may use aggregated, anonymised interaction data to improve our own routing and quality scoring systems.

We use the following cookies:

• Essential — session ID, consent preferences (always active)
• Analytics — usage patterns, page views (requires consent)
• Personalisation — research preferences, vote history (requires consent)

7. Data storage & security

Data is stored on servers in the EU (Hetzner, Helsinki). All connections are encrypted via TLS 1.2+. We implement access controls, rate limiting, and security headers. We retain search data for up to 12 months, after which it is anonymised or deleted.

Under GDPR and UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

9. Third-party services

• Anthropic (Claude) — AI query processing (US, under DPA)
• DeepSeek — background AI processing (under DPA)
• Hetzner — server hosting (EU)

10. Children

Miyagai is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
